(I can't start to explain what I loved about this fic without revealing some plot details that absolutely shouldn't be spoiled. Because the jigsaw-puzzle is constructed so masterfully that the final revelation leaves the reader stunned. So I will only say that it's a must for everybody who loves Buffyverse characters. And, when you reread it for the second time, knowing who is who the story becomes even richer and more rewarding. A masterpiece.)

I don't want to disclose more, because people should read it unspoiled. The first chapter maps a a great premise: tightly plotted, neatly wrapped in a single-chapter format, it hooks the reader from the very first paragraph and makes a terrific one-two punch towards the end, with the final twist, - the last word! - completely changing the disposition.

When Spike tell Buffy about The Redeemer, she is tempted to return to the place where she was so happy... Powerful story, with unusual premise, vivid descriptions and great character voices. I love how the author uses the traditional folklore to create an original and compelling fic.

He also cruelly punishes Spike for helping Buffy in the Acathla fiasco. To revenge Angelus, Spike - once again - goes to Buffy and proposes an alliance... Kallysten at her best - tight plot, unusual twists and convincing character voices.

Buffy discovers that Spike has been sent to Hell. Or, rather, a hell dimension ruled by "new management" - Wolfram and Hart. She enters the place to save Spike and bring him back. Problem is, Spike considers himself unworthy of her and doesn't want to leave. Wonderfully original fic - very "jossian" in spirit and execution. The details of this particular hell are well-thought-out and very organic to both shows. Interestingly, author isn't a shipper per se, and she cares mostly about the story, not about the ship. But the result is very Spuffy with excellent character voices. There are sparks, banter, angst, and gallows humor. And I loved the whole low-keyness of the situation, the idea of Buffy facing oh-so-pesky and annoying bureaucratic mistakes and Spike being noble and stupid and a jerk at the same time.
