moscow_watcherСегодня поймала себя на забавной мысли: когда пишу фик, я коррелирую реплики героев с учетом английского языка - причем гораздо сильнее, чем кажется на первый взгляд. Например, так и не могу решить, использовать ли русскую поговорку "два сапога пара". Ведь в английском там не сапоги, а лимоны. А ведь так хорошо ложится" Можно отлично отыграть баффстерскую любовь к обуви, особенно если подключить Иллирию с ее прямолинейностью.
Наверное, все-таки оставлю "сапоги".

Today I've caught myself on a funny thought. When I write my fic, I correlate characters' lines to English language. I'm OK with using purely Russian idioms in descriptions, but when it comes to dialogs it just feels false when Buffy or Spike or Angel say something typically Russian. I still can't decide if I should use Russian proverb "just another pair of shoes" because in English it's lemons, not shoes. I'm stuck because "shoes" proverb plays brilliantly with Buffster's shoes obsession. Especially if I invite Illyria to comment on this.
I think I should keep the "shoes".
