It's still aimed at men. Thats their core audience and of course they're gonna pander to that. It makes good financial sense If nothing else.
That's why I'm intrigued by the prospect of a woman writing Angel comics. So far, Jane Espenson did fine job with Harmony issue - but she wrote a female-centric story in a female-centric comic. I'm curious about Armstrong's take on Angel.
As an avid fanfiction reader I can attest that there are great female ficwriters whose stories and dialogues are at least as good as the comics I read.
