Hmmm.... when you start thinking about all the situations where the best problem-solving is death - it becomes scary. Buffy or Dawn in The Gift. Angel's death in Becoming. "Death is your gift". In Jossverse it's always about death, about blood. Looks like after 12-plus seasons the idea got its ultimate incarnation.
