I can't really see Buffy and Xander falling in love.
I definitely can't see TV!Buffy falling in love with TV!Xander. SMG and NB had great brother-sister chemistry and it would have been unwise to destroy it. But in comics these characters are a bit different. I think the way their relationship is presented, there is a possibility that Buffy will eventually find love-friendship with Xander.
