I agree it is possible. But I think that "true love" makes the whole arc very serious. So far, such kind of stories had has always been developed as a "plot A" of the season. So I doubt that Joss could use Satsu's supposed true love as a mild distraction. And he can't go all the way because it could change the show too radically.

But, who knows... :)
