I don't think my expectations are low. I'm sure that Joss will provide us with great entertainment. And I'm looking forward to that brand of entertainment.
"Fights instead of philosophy" - that's what we get right now. "Sex instead of love" - you say yourself that you don't see anything but simple sex in Buffy's words. And the overwhelming majority of people who posted here agree with you. It's about a superchick who misses sex, and there is no additional layers in her words. Very teenager-friendly disposition.
As to happy ending - I'm sure if Joss couldn't kill Core Four members on TV show, he won't do it in the comics. (But of course he'll torture us with cliffhangers with Scoobies at the edge of death :)))
