And it occurs to me that the idea of feeding/sacrificing children to a demon was used to incredible (and extremely chilling and horrifying) effect in treacle_a's Mortal Wounds. What I wouldn't give to see her finish that... *deeeeeeeeeep sigh* (Also, of course, it showed that The Immortal is a fascinatingly versatile character to play with!)
