I believe it's a joke from the upcoming first issue of Spike comic - the one Lynch is writing right now. I remember that he mentioned in one of his interviews that Spike and Angel will discuss the movie Hollywood made about their adventures.

I read #18. I... don't know, really. I don't have anything positive to say and I don't have anything negative too. It's like AtS has returned back to square A - to the pilot episode about a vampire who start helping the helpless. It's hard to say whether the writer will find an interesting story to tell. We'll see.
