Have to admit that, though I don't like much I've read about Kelley Armstrong's arc yet, I'm looking forward to seeing if the comic reads different when written by a woman, and irritated that she's not allowed to write Spike.
Seems Comics Spike is Brian Lynch's personal property now. Oh well. At least we know he likes the character, even if his Spike isn't quite the same as ours.
As for the nuttier extreme of a certain fanfaction, just ignore them. Even Joss has said now that he doesn't think of the comics as being like the show. The show ended withe the B/A vs S/B rivalry as a draw, and that's how it'll stay.
