I want to thank you for friendly and considerate posts on SlayAlive. I never doubled your motives when you created the support thread; during the brief time that I know you I learned to appreciate your friendly and non-confrontational way. It were other peoples' posts that upset me.
I understand that Scott Alliwe is in a tricky position. While Spike fans have mostly migrated to IDW forums and interact with Bryan Lynch, Spike haters bombard Dark Horse with hate mail (Allie admits that Shawler writes him regularly). I had the impression that Allie doesn't realise how much disappointment these letters- as well as his comments - may cause.
I never meant " to steal the thunder" - when I wrote to Scott Allie I didn't hope for a reply, frankly. But when I got his mail, I thought that it could be a great chance to bring in the open all the frustrations and dissatisfaction that Spike fans poured out on friend-locked threads for the last three or four days.
Rereading the thread I think that it mostly worked.
