Angel starting a war and being not alone... Hmm. He seems to start it all by himself, but I think in #4 he'll interact with others and recruit him for his cause. What's strange is that those lords are not that menacing. They seem to be no match to Illyria, all together (and we saw the proof: Illyria smacks the Dragon around while Dragon easily killed Burge's people) They don't give a feel of being too difficult to conquer. It seems if our Gang comes together they should easily difeat the lords. Why didn't they think of it yet?
