Yes, but... the work he produces does have its own messages, which is where I kind of agree with moscow_watcher here. As a storyteller, Joss' narratives don't always align perfectly with his politics, especially the way he writes for multiple interpretations - the feminism in BtVS, for example, depends on how you define empowerment. So yeah, I applaud Joss' sentiments, but it's not out of line to asses his work on its own.
