I loved this story! All the subtle details of Buffy fitting into season 5. I especially loved the bit with Dana: she was looking at Spike and seeing Slayers he killed, and talking to him in their voices. And she did the same to Buffy - speaking to her as Faith, the Slayer Buffy was killing!
Angel reaching to Buffy: it is such an unusual place for him to be in. It was Buffy forever reaching to him. Angel having to engage Buffy, tie her to the world id something which tied him to the world too.
And them not telling Spike: you know, after this story I feel even more that Spike was such a dick not telling Buffy about him being back. Because here we can see the tables turned on him - Buffy didn't tell him and stayed with Angel instead. Just what Spike did in Season 5. ;)
